Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right counsellor that you feel comfortable with is very important.
Therapy is very broad with many different types and styles, and so it will be beneficial for you and your healing process to pick the one that you feel suits your needs best. This could be confusing or overwhelming at times, however I am more than happy to have a free online 30minute call with you to discuss what you would like out of counselling, how I could support you in this, and for you to have a chance to find out a little bit more about me.

The normal duration of each session is 50 minutes every week for as long as you need.
Once we agree on a date and time for your sessions, this will be reserved for you, however we can amend this at any time to suit your needs.
So that you can benefit as much as possible from the therapy sessions, it is important to attend these sessions weekly or as regularly as possible.
I charge £60 per session for online sessions. I do offer concessionary rates for students and low income clients.
As an integrative Person-Centred Counsellor, my sessions are led and guided by you and whatever you decide to talk about or bring to your session. I will focus on how you are feeling in the present moment and then work with you to explore if you ever felt like this in the past, and how past experiences or traumas may be causing your present-day situation. I strongly believe that by focusing on the past and working through specific experiences and traumas, we are then able to understand better our current behaviours, choices, moods, and ultimately our thought patterns.
Each sessions is not specifically goal orientated, however you may see common themes emerge that we then focus on for a period of time. Where appropriate, I also bring in imagery and paper exercises, and work with journaling.

At the time being I only offer online sessions.
